ParkingWayside located on West side of Taylor Highway with parking area for trucks and trailers with small watercraft. On East side of the Taylor Highway is a small, unimproved, gravel boat launch from a steep access road. Near Wayside latrine is a primitive walking path with picnic table that leads to the Fortymile River. Take care when boating or floating this portion of the Fortymile River as there is one rapid above the bridge and three below. It is recommended to read through the BLM brochure under “More info” before boating or floating the Fortymile River and/or any of its tributaries.
